ALBERT

Albert is a free spirit that works as the Creative Director of one of Canada's leading interactive firms. His sister Linda was recently married, which has given her mother considerable satisfaction knowing that grandchildren are on the horizon. This has put the pressure on Albert. His mother asks him repeatedly, "When will you settle down with a nice girl to marry?" Albert avoids the question. He is too busy living his life. Albert's father doesn't think Albert works hard enough, and harps on him to change his ways. Will Albert give in to his parent's demands? Albert is a light hearted episode about the generation gap that exists between parents and their kids, regardless of where they come from.

My parents are both from Saskatchewan and my story is not that far off Albert’s. Even though we’re from the same country, the ‘culture’ they grew up in 20 years ago is very different from what things are now. It’s always a balance: respecting their values and expectations, while finding my own path.
